Dear Members,

First and foremost, thank you for being such a vital part of our community sports centre family. Your energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to staying active are what make our centre such a vibrant place to be.

To ensure we continue providing you with the best possible facilities, we are writing to inform you that our swimming pool will be temporarily closed from 3rd – 31st August essential pool lining maintenance works.

Why is this work happening now?

Over time, pool linings wear down and require resurfacing to maintain water quality, safety, and structural integrity. We have intentionally scheduled these major works for August, as historical attendance data shows this is our quietest month for indoor swimming, allowing us to minimise disruption to your routines as much as possible.

What this means for you:

• The Pool: Will be closed from August 3rd and is scheduled to reopen fully refreshed on September 1st.
• The Rest of the Centre: All other facilities—including Astro pitch, group exercise classes, sports hall, and courts—will remain fully open and operating on normal schedules.

We need your support

We completely understand that a pool closure is frustrating, especially for our regular swimmers. However, as a community-focused centre, we rely heavily on your ongoing membership to keep our doors open and our facilities improving.

We would be incredibly grateful for your continued support during this month-long closure. By maintaining your membership through August, you are directly investing in the longevity of the pool and helping us fund these vital upgrades without passing the costs onto future fees.

To show our appreciation for your loyalty, we are working on a few ways to add extra value to your membership during August, including additional group fitness classes and reduced rates for our Astro pitch. Stay tuned for a follow-up email with those specific details!
